Our Employee Spotlight series is designed to welcome and highlight the many talented individuals who bring their special touches to
Elite Converting.
Kris started working with Corydon Converting in December 2000 as a part-time employee when her children were young. She became a full-time employee in 2011 when her youngest was in school full time. She has helped develop the customer processes at Corydon and has now joined Elite Converting as the Customer Service Manager. With years of prior experience in
converting operations in both Customer Service and Inside Sales positions, Kris is poised to help Elite Converting customers find solutions that will save them time and create efficiencies in operations.
Kris says her kids have asked her "Why do you like your job so much?" She doesn't hesitate to answer with two important points: 1) She loves problem solving for customers and building
long-term relationships with her customers. It's very exciting when they start to feel like more than a voice over the phone. 2) She loves the partnership with her co-workers. A real team makes all the difference in the world.
Kris spends her free time shopping estate sales and flea markets for that special purchase. Her and her husband are also big football fans - both
college and NFL. As football season begins, Kris shares a secret, "I probably enjoy the snacking that is involved with football more than the actual games." LOL - we won't tell anyone, Kris!
When asked what advice she might give her younger self, she said, “Slow down and enjoy the day-to-day events that are happening. Enjoy the moment.” We've all heard that from our parents
but as we age we all clearly understand what that means. She also threw in more sage advice "Start skin care earlier." Sounds like another piece of mom advice we wait too long to heed.
As a woman whose family means so much to her, Kris tells a story about her brother being diagnosed with a rare kidney disease at age 17. He spent 2 decades fighting the disease until a transplant was
necessary. Happy ending - he found a kidney match from his sister-in-law and has been living his best life ever since. The trials of her brother's journey left an impact on her entire family.
In celebration of Kris Soucie, her brother and the contributions we expect she
will make to our team, Elite Converting will be contributing $1,000 to
her
