While Perforation creates a line or pattern of weakness within the material so the material can be torn cleanly at a predetermined point, Serration modifies the edge of the material with a saw-tooth or zig-zag
pattern to make tearing easier and more consistent once the tear is started.

Paty Varela started with Elite Converting 17 years ago. With years of experience leading a team of cleaning professionals throughout lawyers' offices, you can bet Paty knows what it means to be consistent, committed to quality, organized, and detail-oriented. She is the perfect person to have on our converting team where customers expect “every t crossed and i dotted,” and we intend to
deliver. Paty has become a key member of our Contract Packaging team, where speed and accuracy are critical for shrink wrapping and kitting projects.
Paty’s smile is infectious – everyone loves working with her. She loves learning new processes and machines – an employer’s dream come true. Whatever is needed, Paty is up for the challenge.
Paty’s free time is spent with her family. One of her favorite events is sharing a
delicious meal at a restaurant where she can catch up with her family’s latest stories - and someone else does the delicious cooking!
When asked what advice she might give her younger self, she said, “Continue studying to have better opportunities in life.” I’ll bet Paty’s children have heard this advice frequently.
Paty’s kind and giving nature is shown to us daily, so it doesn’t surprise us to hear that her favorite charity has the goal to help make
the world a better place for everyone.
In celebration of Paty Varela’s current, past and future contributions to our Elite Converting team, we will be contributing $1,000 to her favorite charity, Iglesia Apostolica Elgin.
