In early 2021, after months of both weathering the pandemic and unprecedented supply chain obstacles, Elite Tape’s procurement process became a new challenge. As customer demand surged, Shelley Svoboda joined the Elite Tape team. After a career providing support in both the busy healthcare industry and the ever-changing technology industry, followed by several years at home raising twin boys,
Shelley was poised to take on the hectic job of procurement and vendor management supporting Elite Tape’s growth and has handled it like a champ!
Shelley says, “At Elite Tape I most enjoy the people I am lucky enough to work with. Such compassion and willingness to help each other learn and understand leads to both individual success and the success of our company.”
Outside of work,
Shelley enjoys spending time with her family boating, skiing (both water and snow), enjoying the great outdoors and watching her children play sports.
When asked what advice she tries to live by, she said, without hesitation, “You can do it! Live in the moment. Make time for adventure, but plan for your future.” This is so like Shelley - very responsible, but also our biggest cheerleader.
In celebration of Shelley Svoboda and her valuable and continuous contributions to our company, Elite Tape will be contributing $1,000 to her favorite charity, Make a Wish Foundation. In Shelley’s words,
“There is something special about children’s joy and innocence, and if I can do something to help preserve some of that, I’m honored to do so.”
